The MatzaMan History:
About 12 years ago, I responded to a Janglo posting: they were looking for someone to sell booklets to raise funds for Rav Arush’s cheder. I did this for the Cheder.

The Minahel then asked me to assist him with selling hand Shmura whole wheat matza and grape juice; a portion of the proceeds would go to the Cheder and the faculty and staff would receive the matza and juice at a discounted price.
My role was to be the marketing arm of the project, although I also helped with the distribution afterwards.
I developed customers in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Ma’ale Adumim, Tzfat and Efrat.
The following year, the project was not going to be implemented, and the Minahel suggested that I carry on with the matza sales on my own. (The sale of the grape juice had proven to be impractical.) As the Minahel had been my connection to the manufacturer and my Ivrit was from hunger, I needed a new source.
I saw a posting on Janglo, by Z.D., who was more than delighted to form a relationship that lasts.
For 8 years he was my supplier, having worked in the matza factory while in Yeshiva he had the relationship and transported the matza to me.
Two years ago, when Z.D. decided that he could no longer manage matza sales with a full-time job, I became his supplier of a few cases of matza.
In the intervening years, the business has grown by leaps and bounds.
Products have grown to include whole organic grain spelt hand and machine; gluten-free oat hand and machine; and variations on the whole wheat product such as organic and extra-crispy.
We now deliver throughout Israel, and have even shipped to Switzerland, South Africa and the US.
This year, in addition to the Kisei Rachamim Organic Whole Spelt Matza, we have expanded to the whole line of Kisei Rachamim Matzot including their Classic Whole Wheat, Organic Whole Wheat and Extra Crispy Whole Wheat.
Two years ago we used an online ordering vendor and it made the growth easier.
Last year we were pleased to welcome you to our new website and online matza store.
For the first 8 years of business, we have had community pickup points where our clients would meet friends and pick up their matza. With Covid, we needed to switch to personal deliveries in Jerusalem and BS/RBS. In the smaller distribution areas and Yishuvim, we continued to have a community pickup point.
This year, we are offering home delivery as well as having community pickup points.
Twelve years ago, when we started, a portion of our sales went to Rav Arush’s Cheder.
We have grown from that to having a Ma’ot Chittim project.
Initially, we used the funds to help those who needed the healthful specialty matzot at a lower price. The project has grown with us providing matza and funds to Melabev BS, Rebbitzen S. Lichtman’s Tomche Shabbat- Beit Shemesh, Sara Avrahami’s Tomche Shabbas-Nachlaot, JM, Mussar Avicha-Ma’ale Adumim, as well as individuals in a large number of communities that we serve throughout Eretz Yisroel.
Of course, in addition to the Ma’ot Chittim Project we continue to give ma’aser to charitable organizations.
